Listed on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited ("SGX-ST") on 7 March 2013, Mapletree North Asia Commercial Trust ("MNACT")is the first real estate investment trust (“REIT”) that offers investors the opportunity to invest in best-in-class commercial properties situated in prime locations in Hong Kong SAR, China and Japan. At a market capitalisation of approximately S$3.6 billion as at 25 May 2018, MNACT is also the fourth REIT sponsored by Mapletree Investments Pte Ltd ("MIPL" or the "Sponsor"), a leading real estate development, investment and capital management company headquartered in Singapore.

MNACT aims to invest, directly or indirectly, in a diversified portfolio of income-producing real estate in Greater China and Japan which is used primarily for commercial purposes (including real estate used predominantly for retail and/or offices), as well as real estate-related assets.

MNACT’s investment mandate includes Hong Kong, Tier-1 cities (Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen) and key Tier-2 cities in China, and Japan.

MNACT is managed by Mapletree North Asia Commercial Trust Management Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of MIPL. To better align with investors' interest, MNACT is also the first Singapore-listed REIT to introduce a management fee structure that is based on distributable income and distribution per unit growth, rather than assets under management and net property income.

The transaction was approved by Unitholders at the Extraordinary General Meeting held on 24 April 2018. Following the completion of the Proposed Acquisition on 25 May 2018, “Mapletree Greater China Commercial Trust” was renamed “Mapletree North Asia Commercial Trust” and the Manager was renamed “Mapletree North Asia Commercial Trust Management Ltd.".
